Please visit www.carolinaschoolofmusic.com to register for fall classes.

We believe that solid music and artistic foundations provide open doors for using your talents and abilities in many ways. As a result we begin with the basics. Music theory and technique are included in each music lesson. Basic principles of art and speech are incorporated into the foundation of each art and drama class.

The Studio offers quality training in a wide range of art disciplines. Our extensive music faculty teach  private lessons in vocal performance and instrumental studies, including strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, piano, and guitar (both acoustic and electric).

Music Performance
From the beginner through the advanced levels, experienced instructors teach a variety of styles, including classical, pop, jazz and sacred. Music is selected according to the ability and interests of the individual. Students are challenged to improve their technique which enables them to be an active part in any musical venue. The variety of disciplines are:
     Voice
Strings: violin, viola, beginning cello and bass
Brass: trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium
Woodwinds: flute, clarinet, oboe, bass clarinet, alto saxophone
     Percussion
     Piano
     Guitar: acoustic and electric

“The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord.” 2 Chronicles 5:13

FAQs
How do I register and enroll?
Goto www.carolinaschoolofmusic.com  to complete the on-line registration . After you complete the registration,  Leslie Cooper, our Ministry Assistant, will then contact you to schedule your private lesson time that works best for you. If we are unable to schedule a mutually agreeable time your on-line payment will be refunded.

When are lessons offered?
Because each teacher maintains an individual calendar, lessons are scheduled at varying times. Normally, private lessons are offered both throughout the day and during the evening on weekdays.

How old should my child be to enroll?
We are happy to take students interested in piano and keyboard lessons beginning in kindergarten. Otherwise, we suggest that other instrumental training begin in the fourth grade to allow adequate time for your child to develop the necessary fine motor skills to embark on their journey. Age requirements for vocal instruction truly vary depending on the individual.

How much does it cost?
We request that you pay by semester which runs 17 weeks. Private 30 minute lessons are $23 plus a $25 registration fee per semester.  Fall and Spring semester are 17 weeks.   Please contact Leslie Cooper at
lcooper@colonial.org. for additional information.

Do we offer instruction for adults?
Certainly a frequently asked question and the answer is: Yes, yes, yes!! We gladly welcome all ages, adults who want to both begin their education and those who wish to continue to improve their skills and techniques.
